Eine Polemik zum Verhältnis von Neotango und Retrotango
»In Sachen Tango ist es immer sehr delikat, eine Meinung zu äußern. Die Gefahr, dass man vom Tango etwas Falsches behauptet oder dass man eine der lebendigen oder toten historischen Persönlichkeiten des Genres beleidigt, ist groß. Nur ist hier nicht die Frage zu stellen, ob Carlos Gardel Argentinier oder Uruguayer von Geburt her war - es liegt vielmehr nahe zu vermuten, dass durch Gotan Project die vierte Tango-Revolution stattgefunden hat.« Die Annahme, die Diego Siegelwachs 2007 in seinem Beitrag »GOTAN PROJECT und die vierte Tango-Revolution« äußert, hat sich unüberhörbar bestätigt.
